I am an Idaho native, growing up in Twin Falls through high school. Over the next ~15 years, my travels and studies took me to Arizona, Spain, northern Idaho and Boise, Washington and most recently, California. I completed my OB/GYN training in the beautiful Bay Area at Kaiser Permanente Oakland, where I came to truly appreciate the importance of comprehensive women’s health care within the context of medicine and society. I was lucky enough to be part of the birth experience as a provider (the majority of the time) as well as a support person to my friends/colleagues giving birth. My practice interests include contraception, minimally invasive surgery, low and high-risk pregnancies and preventative care. I strongly believe that as physicians we have a responsibility to educate our patients so that they may make healthcare decisions that best fit their values and priorities. I speak Spanish (my father is from El Salvador) and hope that this will help minimize some barriers to medical care that exist for the Hispanic population. My most recent stint was in the Eastern Sierra town of Mammoth Lakes, CA as one of the OB/GYNs on staff. I was able to explore a minute portion of the mountains with my shelter pup, Lucy, who made the transition with me back to Boise. Outside of the office, I enjoy being outdoors, trail running, hiking, yoga and spending time with my family and friends.
