Laura Taylor, CNM
I was born in Jackson, Wyoming, and spent my early childhood in a remote mountain cabin—reachable only by snowmobile or skis in the winter—alongside my parents and older brother. When it was time for my brother to start school, we moved to Teton Valley, Idaho, where my parents still live today. I grew up skiing every chance I got and later moved to Boise to earn my undergraduate degree in nursing at Boise State University. I began my career as a labor and delivery nurse in January 2012 and spent nearly 13 years supporting families at the bedside, serving as both a charge nurse and a strong patient advocate. With a lot of encouragement from the midwives I worked alongside, I returned to school and earned my Master’s Degree in Nursing from Frontier Nursing University to become a Certified Nurse Midwife.
After navigating years of infertility and pregnancy challenges, my husband and I were blessed with one healthy, joyful son. As a family, we love exploring the trails in the Treasure Valley foothills—our favorite way to spend quiet mornings together. I am deeply passionate about providing trauma-informed, compassionate care to women throughout every stage of life, with a special interest in fertility management and creating peaceful, empowering birth experiences.
