Kathleen Anneke PA-C

I am originally from Minnesota and as a young adult I was employed by Outward Bound as an instructor. From that point on, I thought I would spend my career working in the outdoors. In 1993 I packed my VW Bus and moved to Alaska where I took a job with Alaska Wilderness Studies teaching outdoor education. My interest in medicine came when I befriended a midwife while living in Anchorage. Her stories were fascinating. Then, when I endured an earthquake while I was literally in the stirrups myself, I took it as a sign. I attended PA school at the University of Washington School of Medicine MEDEX PA Program where I was on the Dean’s List and graduated in 2001. While I was trained in family practice, I have always had a special interest in women’s health. I pride myself on providing compassionate care to patients and developing long-term professional relationships. I love caring for generations of women: mothers, daughters, sisters, grandmothers, aunts. I particularly enjoy incorporating wellness and prevention as well as bioidentical hormone replacement in my medical practice. My husband is a Boise native and we are blessed (and somewhat vexed) with three beautiful daughters. We love to camp and do anything in the outdoors: hiking, biking and skiing. I particularly enjoy swimming, which helps with my unbelievable heat intolerance as I continue to ponder how I ended up in the high desert.
