Jennifer Hudson D.O.

I am delighted to be joining the staff of Women’s Health Associates! I recently completed a 12-year military commitment, spending the last 4 just down the road at Mountain Home Air Force Base. I am originally from upstate New York and since leaving for college have spent much time moving from place to place before finally settling in Boise.  I chose to apply to medical school with a specific interest in Women’s Health after I watched my first birth volunteering at a hospital in my college town. In addition to being a board-certified OBGYN, I am a proud crunchy mom who integrates holistic and conventional medicine into my practice. I firmly believe all aspects of health are interrelated and that our bodies have the ability to heal themselves when given the proper tools. My professional interests include general obstetrics and natural birth, lactation, ultrasound, nutrition, infertility, PCOS, and menstrual disorders. I also spend countless hours in the self- study of alternative treatments to include OMT, essential oil therapy, and herbal medicine. I would eventually like to be certified in acupuncture so I can offer treatments at office visits. My husband and I welcomed our first baby into the world this past December, adding a new member to our family that already includes a spunky dog and lazy cat. We enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, camping, skiing, jogging, as well as yoga, cooking, and travel. I’m excited and look forward to serving the women of this beautiful community!
